I agree this is a very true statement. In the world we live in today it is so easy to let choose achievement over character, and we have to be very careful about that. That’s why we always need to stay in tune with God so he can keep us in check.
Good one Pastor. New Life did a great job at the game last nite even if we did lose…our attitdues were great!!!!

I don’t tell you much (because I’m family), but that is a very good message! Sounds like sermon material to me! From a personal perspective (and because I have relate everything to cycling), think about Lance Armstrong. He chose achievement over family, god, ect., and I bet you in a few years we could care less who he was…

So, I just talk to coop and apparently we are playing Ruth on Thursday. Now of course, Ruth is the best team in the league already beating Team 2 Frist Baptist. Not only did I find this out but I also learned that Coop, Nicole, and my pastor will not be there. Great…just great… however, good news- I will be the interim coach. It just keeps getting worse..hehehe

Congrats on the weight loss though! That’s exciting!!

Hey Pastor and all bloggers.
I love the way you are doing the leadership meetings. Your messages have been very inspiring and helps me to grow spiritually as a leader. I am so glad that you are giving of yourself and pouring into the other leaders/ministries in our church. We need it. Dave and I have been leaders in this church for a few years now and I have always felt as if I was missing some key concepts to teaching others how to lead.
I pray for all the leaders at new life to be stretched and not to get comfortable in your ministry. Comfort, pride, unwanted/not seeking change, inability to trust in others, selfishness, are a few things that do not build an anointed team of united leaders.
I am learning this week I need to think outside the box and dream big because get ready, get ready, get ready, get ready (i can’t do it like t.d. jakes). God has something in store of New Life. Are you ready?
