Family Update
I hope that pretty soon I can start blogging about regular stuff again.
Sarah is home after surgery and everything is going well. She is tired and a little sore. My wife is pretty tough (she had our two children natural), so she will bounce back pretty quick. Sarah’s parents are up to help out, so that is a big help. I had planned on being at Bethany’s schools field day on Friday, but with the passing of Ilene Wiles, I am now unable to go. I will be leading the service on Friday morning.
Have I mentioned that all mothers at service on Sunday will receive a cake? I don’t know which one to choose: Italian Creme, German Chocolate, Coconut, or Red Velvet. Unfortunately, I do not have a choice, but Sarah has made hers—German Chocolate it is!

I was out of town last week when Andrew turned two. We are going to be celebrating his birthday with a party this weekend. I have no idea what in the world we are doing for food. I would be willing to bet that it is Pizza Hut and cake!
What is completely amazing is the fact that Andrew and Bethany are totally different from one another. Bethany is a talker and Andrew is not. Bethany can sit in front of a TV for hours while the longest that Andrew had ever watched TV for is 7 minutes and that was at 5 in the morning this week when he was zoned out. The boy just never stops!
Sarah and I have been blessed with two loving children and we are thrilled for that. So on Saturday afternoon we are going to throw down playground style.
Cold!
When I woke up this morning it was 61 and now it is 32 outside. What happened? Remember that Valentine’s Day is tomorrow. Sarah and I will be celebrating on Friday.
On Tuesday, I passed my exam to be an Ordained Bishop. I told Sarah to bow and kiss my ring when I walked in the room and she told me to kiss “it”. I don’t think that she meant it as a compliment. BTW, I was only kidding.
I have met with two bank presidents this week and one more tomorrow. I am trying to refinance the church at the best interest rate possible. We are wanting a lower fixed rate. The best offer so far is 7.25 for a business loan. At least we do not have to do anything, so we do not have to rush.
I am very tired tonight. I need a Mt. Dew. I have now gone 44 days without one!
Busy weekend ahead
I am hoping to get a lot done today. I plan on visiting some of the shut-ins at the church. Today sets up for a very busy weekend. Sarah and I have been invited to eat dinner at the State Bishops home on Friday. That makes me sound like I am something special. Since this has been a long week, I will believe that I am special……today!
The ministries conference for South GA is this weekend and then on Tuesday, I take my final test to be an ordained bishop in the Church of God.
*****My daughter asked for roses and candy for Valentine’s Day this morning. Who told her about that? She’s four.

I have a four year old named Bethany. She really is just like me. This week she finished up her cheerleading camp and she got to cheer at the basketball game.
I must be getting old when my child can cheer at a High School Basketball game.

My parents are in town to help out while Sarah is in Atlanta. I am ready for her to come home. It is great to have parents and in-laws that are willing to help out. But do they really have to go to bed at 8:00?
BTW, What exactly is a watered down Gospel? It either is or it isn’t the Gospel, right?
