Living the New Life

Yesterday, I went to Tifton to work on my rental house.  If you have followed the blog recently then you probably have seen the pictures of the mess that was left.  I took Chad Nobles with me and we worked all day at the house.  I borrowed a truck and trailer from a friend and we filled up two full loads full of garbage and took it to the dump.

We got the mess out of the house so that now the cleaners can come in and do their jobs.  We are much the same way in our inner man.  We have to be willing to have the inner filth leave if we want the the real cleaner (Christ) to come in and do His redemptive work.  The Bible is pretty clear that the Lord will do dwell in an unclean temple and your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost.  My house looked fine on the outside but on the inside it was wrecked.  So many of us are the same way.  It is our choice how we choose to live.  We can live with the filth or live in faith.  I choose faith!
