Have you heard that saying before? Only time will tell. It basically means that the person doesn’t know. In life there are a lot of unknowns. The Bible even tells us that we can only know in part. The challenge in life is to not let the unknowns rule over what you do know. God is in control and you are loved by Him. Those simple truths can pull you through some rough times. As far as the situation you are facing-only time will tell the outcome. Comfort yourself with the truth that God is going through the situation with you.

Those of you who attend New Life will know that once a year I spend an entire month just teaching and hanging out with the teenagers. I do this because I want to have a relationship with them. Last night concluded my month with the teens. It was a good month and I enjoyed having a different venue to teach at. It stretches me but it also allows me to experience a smaller setting to speak at. I am now looking forward to going back to our normal routine at New Life.

I sometimes have questions. I am convinced that there is nothing wrong with that. I am currently asking myself several really important questions about where New Life is today and where we will be in the not too distant future. I may not have the answers right now, but I will have (I hope) soon.
I encourage you to ask questions. I ask them to others and I also ask them to myself. I feel that it is important to understand why we do certain things in church and in life. Answered questions help to bring about understanding. Understanding is essential if we are to continue to grow personally.

My children love to look at the fish tanks in Walmart. When I take them to look at the fish there are always several people standing there doing the same.
People love to stand and watch the actions of others. Have we ever stopped to wonder how the fish feel? Last night Sarah and I watched (for the first time) Jon and Kate + 8. When the episode ended I was saddened for the family. I find no joy or entertainment in other people’s problems and troubles.
When our lives are placed under a microscope the chinks in our armor will appear. There is only so much heat you can take before you begin to crack. If you want to survive the situation then sometimes you have to remove yourself from the heat. If you are not willing to do that then maybe what you are today is what you want to be more than what you had then.

Today is the day our country sets aside to remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. I do remember and I’m forever grateful for their sacrifice and commitment to the United States of America.

It was Memorial day weekend so I was expecting our attendance to be a little off…. It wasn’t, we had 196.
This morning was definitely hard to preach. I believe that there was heavy spiritual warfare going on in someone’s life. There was a subdued atmosphere in worship and also during the sermon. I wish that I could say I knew what it was, but I don’t.
I know that several people raised their hands needing God in their lives. Then we had people in need pray at the altar. I know that God is moving in our church body and we are seeing new faces getting involved. It is an exciting time, but also a scary time because we are not fully prepared.

“I believe that Heaven will feel like I feel when I am on Vicidon.” – Brittany Lucas
Brittany is crazy, but we all love her.
I have four Atlanta Braves tickets and a parking pass as well for tonights game. These are really good seats. I will give them to the first person who calls or texts me this morning.

I started getting sick yesterday around lunch time and it just kept getting worse all night. I have had a rough night to say the least.
I am going to take it easy today. Keep me in your prayers.

Today is my 33rd Birthday. I want to thank everyone who has called, texted, or hit me up on facebook. Thank you all.
I am going to be buying myself something for my birthday this year even though I don’t want to. Yesterday, I somehow managed to hit a hole in the road that busted both tires of the right side of the car. I hate it because the tires on the car were only 3 months old. I guess the GPS will have to wait till next year. Oh well.
I am in the office today trying to play catch up. If you have not already had your pictures taken for the directory, remember that this Sunday is the last Sunday.
