I am typing this from a Hotel room in Tifton, GA. I really missed being at New Life tonight. Service was good, but I feel just weird not being at my church.
This is been one of the craziest weeks ever. For those of you who may not know, my wife, Sarah is pregnant. We are expecting the baby around the last of March. Monday morning she fell at work and busted up both of her knees and was shaken up. I rushed to her work (about 20 mins) to check on her. We then went to the doctor to make sure that everything was alright. Then on the way to the doctor my car developed a flat tire. Crazy!!!
Sarah is fine except for the fact that she is sore.
Tuesday was just as eventful as I spent the morning supporting someone in court and then went to Atlanta to spend time at a reception with some Senators and Representatives. It definitely was eye opening. I saw first hand how lobbyists work.
Wednesday was just as fast paced. I am in Tifton at the Winter Campmeeting. I love all of you out there.
BTW, we had 188 at the Stewardship Banquet on Sunday evening and everything went great. We have almost outgrown our facilities so pray for God to lead us in His paths for direction.

It was just an awesome day!!! We had 190 in attendance and was visited by the Holy Spirit is such a powerful way. It was truly amazing. I had the Lord bless me two times by events in the altar that were for other people. Wow!!!!
Tonight is our annual Stewardship Banquet. I hope to have pics later.
Peace
I hope that everyone is well. The Daniel Fast is now completed. I want to just offer a little advice to everyone who has been on the fast to be careful with what you eat today. I do not recommend a nice juicy hamburger from Scott’s! Be careful of the grease. I am so thankful for the response of the church body towards the fast. I believe that God is going to answer prayers beyond our expectation.
Tonight is a huge night because of our annual Stewardship Banquet. I praise God for all of you New Lifer’s everyday. Tonight is a night to simply say “thank you”.
I had a long day yesterday and it was a blast. The only problem is that one of the things that Sarah and I committed to do during this time was not to eat out. That created quite the dilemma because I was out of town yesterday. The solution—-I didn’t eat. It really wasn’t so bad.
The reason it wasn’t so bad is because I had made the decision in advance. Many people chose to do the fast as sort of a flippant thing. I believe that you must enter into the fast knowing that God is directing you into it. During the fast and also living the Christian life is one that is made so much easier when the decision has already been made. The line has been drawn in the sand. I have already made my decision. I will serve the Lord.
We are in the home stretch of fasting and I know that many prayers have already been answered. Praise the Lord.
I want to remind you today to seek the Lord during your meal times. Prayer works. When you pray also give the Lord an opportunity to speak back to you. Fasting will bring hidden things to light so that you can deal properly with them. I am praying today for the Lord to do great things in your life.
***Towards the end of the week I will start talking about coming off of the fast.

Yesteday was a holiday for Sarah and the kids. We all basically stayed at home and played around. Sarah and I even watched a movie while the kids took their nap in the afternoon.
The point of this post is that we were able to hang out because it was Martin Luther King Jr. day. When you speak his name you may hear his “I have a dream speech” ring in your head.
I also have a dream. I dream of reaching a city for Jesus Christ. That each and every person in our area would know that New Life is a safe place with mad love for every person. That we will see future leaders grow up and release them into successful ministry. I love New Life because I feel the burden everyday. I saw the dream over 2 years ago and I still see it today. I can’t help it; I have to follow the dream.

We had an off day as far as the attendance. We had 144 and to be honest we were blessed to have that many with the cold and rain mixed together.
I felt like we had a wonderful service. The praise team was really good and I felt like the message was well received.
Last night was just a flat out awesome service. There was an anointing that was so real and powerful. My five year old Bethany even said it was really good.
One of the changes we made when we moved Sunday School back to Sunday morning was that I would go back to a more evangelistic type of preaching on Sunday evenings. It is what I had always done before I came to New Life and it really is what I am more comfortable with.
This is a huge week at New Life with a lot of things going on. If you can help out in anyway feel free to give me a shout out.
I love the Stewardship Banquet and it is going to rock this year!!!!
It is cold here in Cochran!!!!!
I used to love to play an old computer game called RISK. It basically was a strategy game that was won and lost with military forces. The point is that you have to be willing to risk something in order to gain something. Many of you out there are in need of something. I challenge you to risk something in order to receive something. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Some people did not try the Daniel fast because they were not willing to take the risk. God is looking for those to believe in Him enough to take the leap of faith. Are you willing to risk it all for Christ?
Hey guys! For some of you that committed to the 10 day fast I know that you are coming off today. I am sure that the Lord spoke to you and moved upon your life as you were seeking Him.
For many of the rest of us that are committed for 21 days we have reached the halfway mark. I know that God is using this time to refine you in your walk with the Lord. I trust that He begins to show you the places that are marred, and that you will then let Him do the Master Potter’s work on you. Let yourself be free to His touch so that He can shape and mold you to be what is good in His own eyes!
